Virat Kohli is a new cricket sensation in the cricket world. Currently, he is admired for being one of the classy cricketers in the world. Virat holds the first spot in the ICC T20 cricket ranking with his batting skills and some wonderful cricketing attitude.
He is the middle order batsman and also one of the best fielder’s in the Indian squad. He was born on 5th November 1988 in Delhi, India into a Punjabi Hindu family. His nickname is Cheeku. His father name is Prem Kohli, who worked as a criminal lawyer and his mother name is Saroj Kohli, who is a housewife. Kohli’s elder brother name is Vikash and his elder sister name is Bhavna. At the age of three, Virat picks up a cricket bat and asked his father to bowl after him.
He is a right-handed batsman and loves to do bowling with Right-arm medium. Currently, he is the captain of Indian Test team and successfully doing his job as a captain.
Virat started his schooling at Vishal Bharti Public School. At the age of nine years old, Kohli was created and he is a part of its first intake in the West Delhi Cricket Academy. Virat’s neighbors suggested that “Kohli shouldn’t waste his valuable time in gully cricket, instead of joining in a professional club and later his father took him to the Cricket academy.
Rajkumar Sharma was the first trainer of Virat Kohli at the academy and he also played a match at the Sumit Dogra Academy near Noida. To help his cricket practice, in class nine, Virat shifted to Savier Convent in Paschim Vihar.
Virat’s father was died on 18th December 2006 due to brain stroke. Regarding his early life, Virat has said in an interview that “I’ve seen a lot in life, losing his father at a young age, the family economy problem was not going too well, as they are staying in a rented house. According to Virat, his father supported during his childhood in his cricket training, “His father was his biggest support”.

Virat’s played his debut match for Delhi at Under 15 team in October 2002. He was the leading run scorers in that tournament with 172 runs at an average of 34. 40. Virat played in late 2004, he was selected at under 17 in the Delhi for the 2003-04 Vijay Merchant Trophy. He scored at an average of 117. 50 and the top score of unbeaten 251* runs.
At the age of eighteen, Virat’s played his first-class debut against Tamil Nadu for Delhi in November 2006. He came into the spotlight when he decided to play against Karnataka for his team on the day after his father death and went to score 90 runs. Kohli went directly to his father funeral after he was dismissed.
Kohli starts his international debut at the age of nineteen against Sri Lanka, in the first ODI of the tour and was dismissed for 12 runs. He made his first half centuries of 54 runs in the fourth match which help the Indian Cricket Team to win the series. He had scores 37, 25 and 31 runs in the other 3 matches. India won the series by 3-2 against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka.
Virat batted at number four for India in the ICC Champions Trophy 2009 because Yuvraj Singh was injured in that match. Virat scores an unbeaten 79 run. Virat again found a place in the home ODI series against Sri Lanka in December 2009.
Kohli finished as the leading run-scorer of the series with 275 runs from 5 innings at an average of 91. 66 in the three-match ODI series against South Africa in February at home ground. He batted in 2 matches and had scores of 31 runs & 57 runs.

A few times ago Kohli was in a relationship with the Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and the relation has attracted much media attention. Now as per some media reports the duo have been broke up and busying with each other’s career.
