The shout of ‘Rohit… Rohit’ sound through the jam-packed Divisional Complex Stadium, Mankapur. The thrilling atmosphere expresses the story of Nagpurians extreme anxiety to see their adopted team Bengaluru Bulls play a win on Wednesday after three average results.

Even if Rohit Kumar could not appear as the hero of the match, his heartening words to Ajay Kumar did the trick as the final did the job for his skipper. Ajay won 8 points off his 19 raids as Bengaluru registered comfortable 31-25 wins over Bengal Warriors in a high range match.

After the match winning, Ajay Kumar said “I have an injury. I was worried in the morning but Rohit came to me and told me that I can do it. He gave me confidence. When captain shows such belief in you, you are charged up like I was and that made the difference.”

Bengal, who has come into this match with two wins in as many games, was on the top of their game.

(I jumped out of my seat when the bidding price reached Rs 81 lakh and I was sold. I couldn’t watch TV after that. Rs 81 lakh is a lot of money.)”

“In fact, I didn’t know that Patna had tried to raise that bid. I was already celebrating and found out about it much later. I don’t know how to express my happiness over a phone call. I wish you could see my face.”
