The Spanish club’s Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane said on Monday that when Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice for Real Madrid in the Champions League final in June appear as sharp and he is now ready to face Manchester United in the European Super Cup.

Ronaldo was certified to report for pre-season training later than his team mates after playing in the Confederation Cup with Portugal and missed out the Liga team’s tour of the United States, instead of going on a promotional tour of Asia.

The 32-year-old Real footballer Cristiano stopped playing for Real after a 4-1 win against Juventus in the Champions League final in Cardiff and reported emerged from Portugal which he wanted to leave Real after being blamed of tax avoidance by the Spanish authorities.

Ronaldo has made no public statement following the unique report in Portuguese newspaper Record even Spanish media said that he had decided to stay at Real Madrid.

Ronaldo is likely to stay in Madrid after joining up late with the squad but coach Zidane said that the creative Portuguese forward player had every chance of playing against his old side United.

On Monday, coach Zidane said in a news conference ahead of the game in Skopje, “What has impressed me the most is that he is the same condition as in the final and two months ago, that’s what I care about the most and what he cares about.”

He added, “The fact he has come with us here means a lot, and it means he is ready to play. Tomorrow (Tuesday) we’ll see if he does. Many things have happened and there has been a lot of noise as usual, but he is calm.”

The professional Portuguese has joined United in an 18 aged after making an impression in a pre-season friendly at Old Trafford. He left United to join Real Madrid when offered of 80 million pounds of fee in 2009 and won two Liga titles and three Champions League trophies.

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos said about Ronaldo “He is a very important player for our squad and, regardless of the number of days he’s spent training, it was important that he travelled with us because he has an important role. Even if he doesn’t play, his presence is important.”

Retired French footballer Zinedine Zidane announced that leading Real Madrid to their first La Liga in five years and also 33rd overall is one of the joyful days for his impressive sporting career.

Real Madrid defeated Malaga at 2-0 on the final day of the La Liga season on Sunday to cover three points of Barcelona.

Real coach Zidane said to the reporters that “For me, the Spanish league is the best in the world so it’s an incredible feeling to win it. It was very important to win the league after many years without it and we know that the league is the competition of every day and it’s a huge thing to win it.”

Praising his players Zidane said “It’s a spectacular day, everyone deserves credit but above all the players have fought, the message has always been that every player is important and that’s been the key to this success. Zidane has won four trophies in 16 months since taking charge of the Spanish giants, “I can finally celebrate after months and months of work. There are no words to define how I feel now. When you’re the Real Madrid coach you know that expectations are very high but I like that. Winning the league is the best thing imaginable.”

On Monday, Portuguese professional football player, Cristiano Ronaldo said that he doesn’t see himself “becoming a coach” after picking up the Best FIFA Men’s Player award.

Speaking to FIFA following the presentation of the inaugural, Cristiano Ronaldo awarded as the top male player in football, he also won the Ballon d’Or at the end of 2016, admitted he couldn’t rule anything out.

As per the reports, Ronaldo gave the statement to FIFA’s official website “Very difficult…never say never. I don’t know what will happen in the future but at this moment I don’t see myself becoming a coach.”


Ronaldo’s stellar 2016 also included a Champions League and Club World Cup name with Real Madrid, and also winning the 2016 Euro with Portugal.

The 31-years-old cheered his team on from the seat in the final after leaving the match early with an injury. Those situations felt against France in the final were very hard to handle. Ronaldo said that despite appearances were lots of nervous after exiting in the 25th minute of his team’s 1-0 extra-time win.

The 35-years-old stated that “It was complicated. I started the game, but I didn’t finish. I was very nervous. I remember that I was in the dressing room. Then I went outside. I think my behavior speaks for me really. I don’t really have anything to say.”

“The images don’t lie. People can see how nervous I was. But I think it was a glorious day for Portugal.”


When asked about his skill to control at the highest level of football after lots of years, he said “There’s no secret. It’s working strong and arduously. I’m playing for a team (Madrid) that gives me the possibility to be able to compete for these trophies. With Portugal also, I thought it was a sensational Euro.”

“I’ll return to saying again; it was a year of dreams – the collective performance, the individual performance, the team performance and the performance of the national team,” he added.
