On Monday, Chinese smartphone maker Gionee has announced that the signing of Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli as new brand ambassador. The company has declared that it has now 1.2 cr customers in India.
The captain will quickly be seen in the upcoming promotion of Gionee, and it will also be actively concerned in a host of innovative marketing and customer experience plans. Kohli is going to join actor Alia Bhatt to help the brand touch new heights.
According to the sources, Country CEO and MD, Gionee India, Arvind R Vohra said that “With the two of the most loved icons in India, our motto of ‘Making Smiles’ is bound to create a new benchmark across billions of young hearts.”
Due to its two manufacturing units in the country, the company is planning for a 2.5-time growth this year. The Gionee company is going to establish 500 brand stores all over the country along with doubling their strength of trade representatives to 20,000.

The Gionee company is banking on branding and targeted distribution to increase its share of the smartphone market. Vohra expects 7000 – 30,000 price segments to produce by 25-30 per cent.
