Indian cricketer Virat Kohli is on a “much-needed break” with Anushka Sharma. Both couple latest social media posts mean that they are in New York, where the IIFA Weekend and Awards begins on Thursday.

On Wednesday, the 28-year-old India’s captain Kohli posted on his Instagram page with a photograph featuring him and Anushka in a car. “Much-needed break with my <3 (heart emoji)”

Both the couple has seen smart which Virat in a casual white T-shirt and Anushka looks smart in an olive top. The eye-catching aspects of the image are their unique eyewear. Later two days ago, Anushka has been posting an image of New York’s street on her Instagram page.

Anushka captioned one image and posted, she wrote “The sun sets someplace and rises for a new day at another… Have a great day/night you all.., #New York #Sunset #JetLagged. There is light always at the end of the long road.”

Anushka has been caught up with the promotion of her new film with superstar Shah Rukh Khan “Jab Harry Met Sejal.” New York is set to host the 18th edition of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) celebrations, where stars like Salman Khan, A.R Rahman, Sushant Singh Rajput, Shahid Kapoor and Karan Johar will be in attendance.

India limited-overs captain Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have never shared openly about their relationship to media. But, according to the media speculation, Kohli often shares a photo of Anushka social media but does not amuse any questions about his equation with Anushka.

But Kohli recently said how he was in tears after sharing the news of getting appointed as the captain after step down of MS Dhoni. In an interview, Kohli shared about the incident to the Star Sports that “I was in Mohali and there was a test series going on. I was with Anushka then, she had come to visit me.”

“Surprisingly, when I was made Test Captain, then also she was in Melbourne with me. That was a very special moment we shared together.”

The 28-year-old India’s captain Kohli added, “During the Mohali incident, they had spoken to me already. When I hung up the phone and told her, for me it was like a flashback. From the moment I started playing in my academy till the Mohali game.”

“I was emotional, I was in tears because I had never thought that I will see this day. What was more beautiful was that I was able to share it with Anushka. It was something that I will always remember.”

Both pairs Virat and Anushka have attended the special screening of Sachin Tendulkar biopic of “Sachin: A Billion Dreams” together.

After Dhoni’s retired from the format during India’s tour to Australia, Kohli was given the captaincy of the Indian cricket team in 2015. He was handed over in January just before the series against England.

Virat Kohli is a new cricket sensation in the cricket world. Currently, he is admired for being one of the classy cricketers in the world. Virat holds the first spot in the ICC T20 cricket ranking with his batting skills and some wonderful cricketing attitude.

He is the middle order batsman and also one of the best fielder’s in the Indian squad. He was born on 5th November 1988 in Delhi, India into a Punjabi Hindu family. His nickname is Cheeku. His father name is Prem Kohli, who worked as a criminal lawyer and his mother name is Saroj Kohli, who is a housewife. Kohli’s elder brother name is Vikash and his elder sister name is Bhavna. At the age of three, Virat picks up a cricket bat and asked his father to bowl after him.

He is a right-handed batsman and loves to do bowling with Right-arm medium. Currently, he is the captain of Indian Test team and successfully doing his job as a captain.

Early Life

Virat started his schooling at Vishal Bharti Public School. At the age of nine years old, Kohli was created and he is a part of its first intake in the West Delhi Cricket Academy. Virat’s neighbors suggested that “Kohli shouldn’t waste his valuable time in gully cricket, instead of joining in a professional club and later his father took him to the Cricket academy.

Rajkumar Sharma was the first trainer of Virat Kohli at the academy and he also played a match at the Sumit Dogra Academy near Noida. To help his cricket practice, in class nine, Virat shifted to Savier Convent in Paschim Vihar.

Virat’s father was died on 18th December 2006 due to brain stroke. Regarding his early life, Virat has said in an interview that “I’ve seen a lot in life, losing his father at a young age, the family economy problem was not going too well, as they are staying in a rented house. According to Virat, his father supported during his childhood in his cricket training, “His father was his biggest support”.

Early Career

Virat’s played his debut match for Delhi at Under 15 team in October 2002. He was the leading run scorers in that tournament with 172 runs at an average of 34. 40. Virat played in late 2004, he was selected at under 17 in the Delhi for the 2003-04 Vijay Merchant Trophy. He scored at an average of 117. 50 and the top score of unbeaten 251* runs.

At the age of eighteen, Virat’s played his first-class debut against Tamil Nadu for Delhi in November 2006. He came into the spotlight when he decided to play against Karnataka for his team on the day after his father death and went to score 90 runs. Kohli went directly to his father funeral after he was dismissed.

International Career

Kohli starts his international debut at the age of nineteen against Sri Lanka, in the first ODI of the tour and was dismissed for 12 runs. He made his first half centuries of 54 runs in the fourth match which help the Indian Cricket Team to win the series. He had scores 37, 25 and 31 runs in the other 3 matches. India won the series by 3-2 against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka.

Virat batted at number four for India in the ICC Champions Trophy 2009 because Yuvraj Singh was injured in that match. Virat scores an unbeaten 79 run. Virat again found a place in the home ODI series against Sri Lanka in December 2009.

Kohli finished as the leading run-scorer of the series with 275 runs from 5 innings at an average of 91. 66 in the three-match ODI series against South Africa in February at home ground. He batted in 2 matches and had scores of 31 runs & 57 runs.
