Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has expressed the death of veteran actor and theater personality Om Puri, by writing a special message for his loving and colleague friend, saying that he may remain with his “ever infectious smile.”

The 66-years-old veteran actor was found death at his residence on Friday morning. He suffered a cardiac attack. The Megastar wrote on his blog, “Om Puri, if in soul you be, may you remain with your ever infectious smile.”

The 74-years-old Bollywood star also shared that “death, that darkest moment of humanity.” He added, “Took away another soul into its boundless fold and left us all in disbelief.”


Om Puri called megastar as Big B; he said “a friend, an affable loving colleague and a dynamic talent.”

Amitabh, along with his son and actor Abhishek also presented in actor’s cremation, which took place at the Oshiwara Electrical crematorium. He said that the only thing he could do is to hold his “friend’s son in an embrace and transfer strength to him in his young world.”

Bachchan added that “‘Be strong’.. is all I can muster … what else can I say .. what else can anyone say .. they that have lost personally and in relation, shall bear the end, with greater sorrow .. who knows.”


The last cremation of actor Om Puri was carried out by his son Ishaan in the presence of his divorced wife Nandita Puri and close friends Ashoke Pandit and Anupam Khar as well as iconic filmmakers like Ketan Mehta, Govind Nihlani, Prakash Jha, actors Shakti Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, Ranbir Shorey, Randeep Hooda, and Manoj Bajpayee, Farhan Akhtar, Sonu Nigam, Javed Akhtar and veterans Gulzar.

MS Dhoni or Mahendra Singh Dhoni is an Indian cricketer and the current captain of the Indian National Cricket Team. Dhoni also holds the post of Vice-President of Indian Cements Ltd. MS Dhoni is identified as a Rajput. His father name is Pan Singh, worked for MECON and his mother name is Devki Devi is a housewife. Dhoni’s sister name is Jayanti Gupta, who is a teacher and his brother name is Narendra Singh Dhoni, who is a politician. He is a big fan of Adam Gilchrist. Dhoni’s childhood idols were Sachin Tendulkar, Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan and the melodies singer Lata Mangeshkar.

MS Dhoni studied at DAV Jawahar Vidya Mandir, Shyamali, Ranchi, Jharkhand where he initially excelled in badminton and football and he was selected at district and club level for these sports. He was a goalkeeper for his football team and was sent to play cricket for a local cricket club by his football. Though, he had not played cricket. He impressed with his wicket keeping skills and became the regular wicketkeeper at the Commando Cricket Club. Dhoni was a Train Ticket Examiner at Kharagpur railway station from 2001 to 2003, under South Eastern Railway in Midnapore(W) in West Bengal.

Early Career:

Mahendra Singh Dhoni played his One Day International debut match in December 2004 against Bangladesh and he played his first test against Sri Lanka one year later. Dhoni has emerged as one of the India’s most successful captain of Indian Cricket Team. MS Dhoni was selected to the Bihar U-19 squad the very next season. His improved batting and keeping performances led him to be selected to the Bihar Ranji Trophy squad for the 1999/00 season. He made his debut against the Assam team by scoring an unbeaten score of 68 runs. He scored his first century the next season but was only able to score at an average of around 40 per game by the 2003 season.

In 2003, he was selected to the India A team which went on a tour of Kenya to play a tri-series tournament with Pakistan A as the third cricket team. In the series, he scored 362 runs at an average of 72.40 with back to back centuries against Pakistan.

On the back of his sterling performances in domestic competitions and international tours, he was given a place in the ODI squad for the tour to Bangladesh in 2004/05. On his debut match he was run out for a duck but in his 5th ODI match against Pakistan, he scored 148 runs off 123 balls to be called a match winning player in the Indian squad. With his performance, he had now recorded the highest score by an Indian wicket-keeper as well as cemented his place in the side.

Under Dhoni’s captaincy, India won the 2011 World Cup against Sri Lanka, chasing 275 runs. MS Dhoni accelerated with a greater flow of boundaries, ending with 91 not out off 79 balls.

Mahendra Singh’s wife name is Sakshi Dhoni. She is a girl from Dehradun but she is truly Dhoni’s lucky charm. Sakshi is Mahi’s childhood friend and had studied Hotel Management. As Dhoni’s career took a big leap, his business interests widened significantly and perhaps to manage his growing empire. Dhoni entrusted his wife Sakshi to enter into joint ventures with same companies.

MS Dhoni and Sakshi got married on 4th July 2010. She is a native of Dehradun, Uttarakhand. They both are school friends and their parents are also family friends. On 6th February 2015, Dhoni and Sakshi have become parents of a baby girl named Ziba Dhoni.
