Question marks remain over Australia ahead of SA Tests

Steven Smith, present Australian Captain, and his teammates are preparing for the upcoming Australia vs South African test series, though his few teammates are injured at the present time.

In their previous tour of Sri Lanka, Australia has slipped in the third position in ICC World Test rankings for 3-0 whitewash and in the One-day international Sri Lanka enclosed with 5-0 by their splendid performances.

For South Africa vs. Australia 3-match test Series in November 2016, Australian team still has a problem with their squad with their players. A maximum number of players are injured in their previous Sri Lanka tour. Now they are playing in their domestic matching with a search of their previous form for the first opening test against South Africa.


Australian Captain, Steven Smith told the media for Sri Lanka tour – “I have let that go”. He clearly declared to their teammates to concentrate on the South Africa tour for the big Battle.

Also told at home media condition – “It was not a great tour for us and I have thought quite a lot about it since coming back home, ways we can improve in those conditions.”

“Results have not gone in our way in the last couple of months but that is the game of cricket sometimes. You have to move on try and improve.” From the Australia cricket board, they sent a below-strength team with the new player for South Africa One Day series and in that ODI result they take a whitewash against South Africa.

Faf Du Plessis, present South African captain told that he felt the tour might leave a mental “scar” on smith’s side ahead of the Test series. But smith is thinking totally different from it. Steven smith said of pace duo- “It is a completely different format of the game. We have got our two big guns back with Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood.”

“The batters were a little bit disappointing… but I have moved on from that now and it’s about focusing on this summer and Test Cricket.” Mitchell Starc will start in the upcoming match Queensland vs New South Wales Shield.

After all of that question remains with a big mark over Australian Cricket Board with Smith for their upcoming South Africa test series matches and also comes a big question that who will be the partner of David Warner as an opener batsman.
