IPL 2017: Yuvraj Singh Strikes 62 for SRH

Sunrisers Hyderabad all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has scored 62 off 27 balls against RCB in the opening match in Hyderabad. Singh said that he has batted with more freedom after making a successful comeback to the Indian One Day International team earlier this year.

Earlier this year, Yuvraj return to the Indian team against England to form with a brutal century in the season ODI in Cuttack and also with a rough 25 in the third and final match in Kolkata.

In the opening match of IPL 2017, Singh was again made a full display on Wednesday, this season for defending champions SRH in their Indian Premier League opener against Royal Challengers Bangalore.



According to the media reports, after SRH defeated RCB by 35 runs in IPL 2017 season tenth, all-rounder Singh said “I enjoyed my batting tonight. My batting has been up and down over the couple of years, but I am feeling really good at the moment. I just need to continue this good run forward.”

“The comeback into the Indian team has really helped me. I am more free in my mind and I am not worrying anymore about making a comeback. I am just going to play according to the situation and express myself.

When quoted by IPLT20.com, Singh said that it was possible to form well because of plenty dedication and hard work. “I have been hitting a lot of balls and practicing a lot. I have been spending more hours in the nets batting. Also, Hyderabad has always been a lucky place for me.”


“I made a comeback when I scored a lot of runs in Hyderabad. I feel good about my batting at the moment. Hopefully I will keep doing what I am doing right now.”

Singh said SRH did not ask for a better start to their title defence, “We started from where we ended. It was a great performance from all the batsman throughout the innings. The bowlers then came and did the job for the team.”

“It was an important win for us and we need to take more points at home. If we can get five out of seven wins at home, it will help us to qualify in the last four.”
