Indian team and Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli has declared fit by BCCI on Thursday and is all set to return to play for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Mumbai Indians on Friday, April 14th in the Indian Premier League match.
According to the reports, the BCCI said in a statement, “The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Medical Team on Wednesday confirmed that Indian Cricket Team and Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Mr. Virat Kohli has regained match fitness.”
“He will now be available for RCB’s next match against Mumbai Indians on April 14 in Bengaluru. The Indian Captain had undergone rehabilitation after sustaining an injury to his right shoulder and has now recovered to be able to participate in VIVO IPL 2017.”
The injured of RCB captain Kohli’s on his right shoulder while making a diving stop at the boundary of the first-day innings of the third Test at Ranchi against Australia. He has missed the fourth Test and final match in Dharamsala, with Ajinkya Rahane leading India in his absence and also missed the first three matches of RCB of the IPL season tenth.
The RCB captain Kohli joined a bunch of players who were getting set for fielding and catching drills at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. It was also seen fast running around to hold on to some high and low catches under the alert eyes of team’s fielding coach Trent Woodhill.
He didn’t miss a single catch during the diving and throwing the ball at wicketkeeper Kedar Jadhav with huge power and was clearly sign of his recovery from his shoulder injury.
The 28-year-old Indian team and RCB captain Kohli posted a video on his Instagram account of his gym session. Kohli post “Can’t wait to get back onto the field. Almost there now on 14th April?”
