Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli said that his team requires playing positive games to return back from their losing streak when they suffered again another match against Gujarat Lions on Thursday.
RCB were comprehensively outclassed by Gujarat Lions, who has won by seven-wickets with 6.1 overs to extra to revive their Indian Premier League play-off hopes.
RCB has loss sixth match out of nine, skipper Virat Kohli said after the match, “It is never easy to lose games. Tonight was not clinical. We need to get better with our performances. You got to come out and play with intent.”
“We tried to do it with the bat. The only way to come out of it is to play positive cricket. We are putting too much pressure on the team. Individuals need to stand up and take responsibility.”
The 28-year-old RCB captain didn’t give any reason for the top-order fall down to 23-3 by Andrew Tye previous in the innings. “The ball was coming on decently well. Both the innings under lights the ball behaves the same.”

Kohli praised to Aaron Finch who strikes a 72 off 34 balls while chasing 135 to win. “Credit to Finch he played a fantastic knock. In a small chase it is important if one guy takes the momentum.”
Gujarat Lions, who has won by seven-wicket with 6.1 overs to extra, skipper Suresh Raina said “The wicket did something with the new ball. AJ took back-to-back wickets. That was the turning point. It was a team effort today. Basil and Nathu were also accurate.”
“We did very well in all departments. AJ, Faulkner, and Jadeja bowled really well. Then Finchy batted brilliantly.”
Lions captain said about the playing second fiddle to Finch, “Finch was smashing everything, I was just looking at ones and twos. Today’s win gives us a lot of confidence.”
