Real Madrid midfielder Gareth Bale was very happy and enjoying at the Spanish champions and has dedicated his future to the club. Bale said after winning the Champions League on Saturday.
Bale, who joined Real in 2013, scored 67 goals in 146 matches and signed an extension agreement in October to put him at the club till 2022. However, his future for Spain has been spread in doubt following a frustrating injury-riddled campaign.
Real Madrid midfielder Bale said after defeated Juventus 4-1 in the final in Cardiff, “We are winning trophies and I am happy. I have signed a long-term contract at Madrid. My family is happy and I am happy, so yes we will continue what we are doing.”
“It’s the reason why I came to Real Madrid – to win trophies. We’re enjoying winning them at the moment, so we’ll continue to do so. Three Champions Leagues in four seasons isn’t too bad. I think we can get better. We are still quite young as a whole team and we have a great squad.”
UEFA Champions League final match victory was made happy for Bale on Saturday as he became just the sixth player to win a European final match in his hometown as well as Welshman to win the continent’s top trophy three times, exceeding Ryan Giggs and Joey Jones.
Talking about the final match win over Juventus, Bale said: “To play a final in your home city in incredible but to win it is even better a great experience.”
