Hong Kong martial artist actor Jackie Chan, who is in India to promote his forthcoming film “Kung Fu Yoga” is quite amazed at Bollywood dance style and believes that it has improved a lot.

On Monday, the 62-year-old Chan said at the event “When I was 16, I watched Bollywood movies. I didn’t understand the language and I went away after seeing the dance. But for the last 15 years, I watch Hindi films. Why? Because of the dancing, the movements are so good, probably the best in the world.”

He added “Earlier in Bollywood and Chinese films, the actions and dancing were not up to the mark.  But now we have money and technology and now we can train people. Currently, Bollywood produces some of the best films in Asia.”


Chan starts acting in the movies over 50 years; he said “You’ve been growing up watching me when your father took you to see my movies. Now I want that you should take your parents to see my movie.”

Chan said about his love for the Indian people, “I know Indian people love me and I love them too. I come here for making movies, charities, film festivals because I love you all.”

Chan said about his motivation for doing an action at this age are his fans from all over the world. “I’ve been doing actions all my life. Do I scare? Yes I do. Every time when I do the action, I think this is probably my last shot. But when I see my fans and I can’t meet them one by one. What can I do for them?”


“The only thing I can do to bring different kinds of comedies, actions, and different kind of roles. I don’t know how many years I can continue to make films, but as long as I can move, I will do the best for you.”

The Upcoming film of Jackie Chan “Kung Fu Yoga” is directed by Stanley Tong, the action-adventure comedy film also starrer Sonu Sood, Aarif Rahman, Disha Patani, Miya Muqi, Amyra Dastur and Zhang Yixing.

The film is going to release in China on January 28th and in India on February 3rd.

Bollywood stars Aamir Khan film ‘Dangal’ has released in the month of December 23, now it just to complete the month of its release. However, having said that, the film is earning more eyeballs as compared to the other releases over the period of a month.

The film has earned a total amount of Rs 721.14 crore at the worldwide box office. Since in India, the film has inched close to Rs 375 crore marks.


Weekly Income Details of ‘Dangal’ Film

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote earning week detail of Dangal film “#Dangal [Week 4] Fri 1.94 cr, Sat 4.06 cr, Sun 4.24 cr, Mon 1.37 cr, Tue 1.27 cr, Wed 1.16 cr, Thu 1.04 cr. Total: ₹ 374.95 cr. India biz.”

According to, at the Indian box office, the directional of Nitesh Tewari film Dangal have collected Rs 523.47 crore. In the international market, the film has cast over Rs 197.67 crore.

So, the starrer of Aamir Khan film Dangal is recently earning in the second highest worldwide with Rs 721.14 crore after previous film PK, which closed at Rs 792 crore.

Whereas other filmmakers struggle the demonetisation, which mostly affected film’s earning at the ticketing window, Aamir’s film handles to mint Rs 374.95 crore net in India and still going strong.


The film, which is the story of Mahavir Singh Phogat’s journey of training his daughters to become world-class wrestlers, is collecting lots awards. Since it has been a good year for biopics of MS Dhoni leading stars, Sushant Singh Rajput also earns Rs 300 crore in India.

Dangal film has become a top earning film of 2016 and also in the international market. Aamir was overwhelmed with the response to Dangal and express thanks to all fans on social media.

Aamir is now preparing for his next upcoming film “Thugs of Hindostan.” The film will mark his first association with Amitabh Bachchan.

South Indian Tollywood actor Chiranjeevi’s film Khaidi No 150 has created a history since the movie becomes one of the fastest Tollywood films that earns Rs 50 crore and its US number inch towards $1.5-million mark.

According to the recent figures, the film has cast close to Rs 30 crore in Andhra and Telangana regions alone and over Rs 9 crore in the US market taking the numbers to Rs 50.5 crore worldwide.

On Wednesday, the film has hit in both the Telugu speaking states and display more than 1400 screen.


Posted trade analyst Taran Adarsh gave the late evening numbers on Friday “Telugu film #KhaidiNo150 is heading towards $ 1.5 mn in USA… Tue $ 1,275,497, Wed $ 156,094. Total: $ 1,431,591 [₹ 9.74 cr]. @Rentrak.”

Film Khaidi No 150 had gathered $615,000 at the US box office in advance booking also before it opened in theaters. Classics Entertainment, the company which is distributing the Chiranjeevi-starrer in the US, had tweeted, “Without a single show screened Boss broke all records (non-Baahubali) $615k till 4 pm EST #BOSSISBACK with a bang.”

Previous film Baahubali’s number also bankrupt open-day record as Chiranjeevi and V V Vinayak film earned Rs 23.24 crore, putting down behind the Prabhas-Rajamouli film’s collection of Rs 22.4 crore.


The numbers suggest viewers has received and appreciated the South Indian actor Chiranjeevi’s comeback, who returned to the silver screen after a pause of 10 years. Meanwhile, Khaidi No 150 is way further on of its competitor, Nandmuri Balakrishna’s Gautamiputra Satakarni, which made only $0.3 million at the US box office on Day 1.

V V Vinayak directed the film Khaidi No 1, leading role lead by Kajal Aggarwal, antagonist role played by Tarun Arora, music composed by Devi Sri Prasad, and Ram Charan produced it under the Konidela Productions banner.

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has expressed the death of veteran actor and theater personality Om Puri, by writing a special message for his loving and colleague friend, saying that he may remain with his “ever infectious smile.”

The 66-years-old veteran actor was found death at his residence on Friday morning. He suffered a cardiac attack. The Megastar wrote on his blog, “Om Puri, if in soul you be, may you remain with your ever infectious smile.”

The 74-years-old Bollywood star also shared that “death, that darkest moment of humanity.” He added, “Took away another soul into its boundless fold and left us all in disbelief.”


Om Puri called megastar as Big B; he said “a friend, an affable loving colleague and a dynamic talent.”

Amitabh, along with his son and actor Abhishek also presented in actor’s cremation, which took place at the Oshiwara Electrical crematorium. He said that the only thing he could do is to hold his “friend’s son in an embrace and transfer strength to him in his young world.”

Bachchan added that “‘Be strong’.. is all I can muster … what else can I say .. what else can anyone say .. they that have lost personally and in relation, shall bear the end, with greater sorrow .. who knows.”


The last cremation of actor Om Puri was carried out by his son Ishaan in the presence of his divorced wife Nandita Puri and close friends Ashoke Pandit and Anupam Khar as well as iconic filmmakers like Ketan Mehta, Govind Nihlani, Prakash Jha, actors Shakti Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, Ranbir Shorey, Randeep Hooda, and Manoj Bajpayee, Farhan Akhtar, Sonu Nigam, Javed Akhtar and veterans Gulzar.

Gold medallist wrestler of India, Ritu Phogat biopic will be made next installment of Dangal. She is the third daughters of former wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat. However, she is equally fierce when it comes to a face-off in the wrestling ring.

The 22-years-old wrestler has been promoting the film Dangal on her social media account and hoping that its sequel is made on her life.

According to the sources, Phogat stated that she is focusing on bringing the Olympic gold medal with her father, “Papa bolte hain jo 2020 Olympics me gold medal layega us pe Dangal 2 hundred per cent banegi (My father says the one who wins a gold medal in 2020 Olympic will inspire the making of the sequel to Dangal).



Ritu says that she would like to see actor Sonakshi playing her role on screen, “Sonakshi Singha, I think she has the perfect physique to represent a wrestler on screen.”

“I was the first one in the family to make a Twitter account. But even this was well after I had won 7-8 international medals. During our training years Papa didn’t even allow us to watch TV. And when I started an account on social media, I told Papa it is more for research,” says Jaipur Ninjas.

Ritu said about her studies that she scored good marks, she said “I scored 85 per cent in my 10th boards. After the 10th, I couldn’t study further because Papa said that one can focus on either studies or the sport, which is true. But, if I were given a choice then. I would have chosen studies.”


Ritu said about the pressure that she fight in the 48kg category. Does she feel pressure? The Commonwealth Games gold medallist said “The pressure to perform is always there. When people hear the name Phogat, the get confident that I will perform well. This does create pressure.”

Phogat said that she feel pressure due to her eldest sister, “More than Papa I’m afraid of Geeta didi. But it is also she who I gel with the most.”

She stated her favorite scene from the famous film Dangal, “The one in which, Geeta calls Papa from the training camp and starts talking to him again. It happened literally that way in our real life. Whatever is shown in the film is exactly how it happened in real life.”

Bollywood veteran actor Om Puri passed away on Friday morning in Mumbai; he was found death at his home. He age was 66 year. Director started Pandit was a close friend of the actor, who first confirmed the sad news of his death on Twitter.

As per the reports, Puri returned home last night after a shoot and his doorbell went unanswered, following which his driver raised the alarm.

An actor has a quality, who has worked numerous in Indian films across various languages, like Hollywood, British films Pakistani, etc. He made his film debut in the year 1976 in Marathi film Ghashiram Kotwal which directed by K. Hariharan and Mani Kaul. In the year 1999, the actor acted in a Kannada movie A.K 47 as a strict police officer who keeps the city as safe. This film became a great commercial hit.


He was born in Ambala at Haryana to a Punjabi family, his father used to work in the railways and also in Indian Army. He had no birth certificate and also no records, his mother told that he was born two days after Dussehra festival. He started to began schooling, and his uncle gave his death of birth on 9 March 1950 as his official birthday.

Friday morning, his friends and colleagues were shocked. Honors for the actor started flowing immediately after the news of his heart attack. The actor who has first tweeted on Twitter of his death is Anupam Kher, Aamir Khan, Soni Razdan, Mahesh Bhatt, Boman Irani.

Bollywood ‘Bhai Jaan’ Salman Khan is ready to play the groovy father in the upcoming film of Remo D’Souza. He first plays a reluctant dad in film Jab Pyar Kisi Se Hota Hai, now after 18 years, he will play once again a father rule.

The 51-year-old Bollywood actor has given a greeting to director and choreographer Remo D’Souza’s upcoming film. A dance-drama based on the emotional trip of an experienced dancer and his 13-year-old daughter on her way to achieving success.



Currently, in an interview with a weekly magazine, Khan gave a hint at the hard training that he will have to experience for the untitled project which will start in the year 2018. The actor’s excerpt is saying that “In my next, I’m playing the father to a 13-years-old girl. It’s a film about dancing. Like the Hollywood Step Up franchise. I’m going to be a properly trained dancer. You know how painful that is? But I’ve always believed that effortless hard work should be seen on-screen.”

According to the sources, Khan had shed 18 kgs for play a wrestler in his last released film ‘Sultan,’ now he will have to get a leaner build to play a dancer coming the year 2018. A source said that “Salman listens to the choreographer, then, goes ahead and does his own steps, so it’s going to be a lot of lessons for him this time.”


It seems that D’Souza met Salman to discuss the script of his dance-drama. However, it was kept stop since Khan had no time. Then choreographer and director force into his superhero brush, Tiger Shroff ‘A Flying Jatt’ starrer. In the meantime, Khan got busy with his Kabir Khan’s Tubelight.

In this year 2017, Khan is going to start shooting ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, and in 2018, it will be Remo’s turn.
