Sachin Tendulkar a name that most of the people who has the knowledge about cricket is some how familiar with. He is known as one of the greatest cricketer of all time. Sachin Tendulkar’s father name is Ramesh Tendulkar. The name Sachin Tendulkar was given after his father’s favourite music director Sachin Dev Burman. Apart from playing cricket Sachin is also interested in Tennis. Sachin was a big fan of John McEnroe, who is one the most prominent tennis players of US. Sachin’s elder brother Ajit introduced him to Ramakant Achrekar hwho is famous for coaching young cricketers in the country and Sachin starts his cricket coaching from him at an early age.
Sachin- Early Career
At school Tendulkar was regarded as a child genius and was a common point of discussion in the CCM (Cricketing Circles of Mumbai). Sachin was a constant feature for his school cricket team in Matunga Gujarati Seva Mandal Shield. Along with school cricket Sachin used to play in Club Cricket. Sachin’s first club was the John Bright Cricket Club and then he moved to the CCI (Cricket club of India).
Ramakant Achrekar is the first cricket coach of Sachin and he is a famous cricket coach at Shivaji Park, Dadar. Ramakant Achrekar was impressed by Sachin Tendulkar’s talent and later he advises Sachin to sift his school to Sharadashram Vidyamandir High School.
Ramakant Achrekar used to put a 1 rupee coin on the top of the stumps and the bowler who dismissed Sachin will get the coin. If Sachin passed without dismissed the whole session, Achrekar will give the coin to Sachin. Now, Tendulkar considers having the thirteen coins.
Sachin Tendulkar starts his test debut at the age of sixteen on 15 November 1989 against Pakistan in Karachi, His ODI debut match was on 18 December 1989 against Pakistan, He played his last test match on 14 November 2013 against West Indies and his last ODI match was played against Pakistan on 18 March 2012. Sachin played last world cup tournament in 2011 in which India became the world champion 2nd time after 1983 and it was a very special moment for him.
Sachin Tendulkar is the only player to score 100 International centuries, the first batsman to score a double century in an ODI and the only cricket player to complete more than 30, 000 runs in International Career.
